I redesigned one of the posters issued by the Japanese government regarding the COVID-19 protocols and make it in 2 languages (Japanese and English). Compared to the poster designs created in the US, the Japanese governmental posters are not visually clear, and, therefore, must not be comprehensible to everyone–mainly because they are designed with too much text. The goal for this project is to make a poster that is more reader friendly so that more people can understand, including children and those with intellectual disabilities.I sought to create pictographic illustrations specific to the COVID-19 crisis and to use simple language.
